A curatorial platform bridging art, design, and traditional craftsmanship through a lens of community and culture. MALACARA's first official pieces mark the beginning of our ongoing search for creative freedom.

Created in Tonalá, a town near Guadalajara known for its rich artisan tradition, we chose to begin this journey with local glassblowers. Rather than provide a defined design, we challenged them to step away from replication and embrace improvisation.

The only guideline: create a face.

The result is a series of spontaneous, hand-blown glass sculptures—each one a unique expression born from instinct and craft.
